The CHISEL Brand

The CHISEL Brand is composed of three parts

Name and Type

Full Title

When expanded the group should be referred to as the Computer Human Interaction & Software Engineering Lab.

Notes

The ampersand, "&" is optional but encouraged. The word "and" should be substituted if the ampersand cannot be used.

The word "The" can be prepended to the title however the word "Group" should not be appended.

Wordplay is allowed (e.g. Chisel Assets Chassets) as long a it's clever.

Headings

When used as a heading or subheading the full title should be used in Open Sans – Regular. The title can wrap to a maximum of two lines, ideally right after the ampersand.

The CHISEL Brand is composed of two primary colors as well as dark grey and white.

The CHISEL Logo has three variants each with color and greyscale renders. The block logo should be used if possible however the other variants can be used where required.

The recommended format is SVG as it can be resized and is supported by most web browsers, this is also the best choice for web use. Some programs however, such as the Microsoft Office suite, do not support the SVG format. In this case it is recommended that you use the Medium or Large PNGs.

Block

For use anywhere the brand can fill a space or be represented as a square (e.g. profile images on websites, stickers).

Flat

For use on light surfaces and backgrounds where the backdrop cannot be filled with the brand color (e.g. decals, stickers).

White

For use on dark surfaces and backgrounds that do not allow for the brand color (e.g. darkened images).
